Tioch was born in São Paulo and lived most of his life in the neighborhood of Brasilândia. He has been a street writer since 2009 and graffiti is today his lifestyle. Besides organizing art workshops, he has been participating since 2008 in discussion circles about sociocultural sustainability. He also takes part in the organization of meetings and events at the Espaço Criança Esperança (ECE) / Instituto Sou da Paz, in Vila Brasilândia. His main goal is to change the scenario in the city´s outskirts through graffiti and hip-hop, adding more color to the city and helping teenagers coming from neighborhoods marked by social differences to become known. Currently, he lives and creates artworks in Parauapebas. Through features very characteristic of comic strips, he seeks to create games and themes that are close to children’s reality.
In the work “The Dotted Jaguar”, the artist expresses his respect, affection, and admiration for the culture of Pará. The mural depicts elements that have become important to him in this new culture, such as the jambu and the dotted jaguar. He painted the mural in a growing commercial area as a way of adding some color to the dynamics of the city.
