He says he became a native of Marab\u00e1 when he moved to the city at the age of six. Self-taught in visual arts, he has a degree in literature from Unifesspa. He has already held several solo and group exhibitions in Marab\u00e1, mainly at the Vit\u00f3ria Barros Art Gallery where he is an artist-in-residence. He has also been working there as a painting and drawing teacher since 2004.
