Bruno is a self-taught artist, who was born and resides in Arari (MA). He has been drawing and improving his skills since his childhood. His main interest lies in realistic techniques, using pencil and pen. Currently, he works as a sales consultant, makes drawings as a hobby and takes occasionally commissioned orders.

His panel Cerco de Dores (Surrounded by Pain) shown here was his first large format work in which he used, also for the first time, paint and graphite techniques. The title addresses global concerns such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the fires in the Amazon that marked the year 2020. Painted in a realistic style, the child’s figure reflects the feelings of anxiety and insecurity about the future.
