Born and resident in Marabá (PA), Carla works as a manicure, and is pursuing a degree in Visual Arts at the Federal University of the South and Southeast of Pará – Unifesspa. Her interest in art comes from her childhood. She inherited her talent from her father when she was a child. She was curious to see him drawing and he encouraged her in this path.

In her panel Homenagem ao mestre (Homage to the Master) shown here, she uses spray, acrylic paint and glue techniques. The inspiration comes from the profession she dreamed of pursuing in the future, and from her wish to criticize the beleaguered educational system in her country.
