Born in São Paulo and raised in the neighborhoods of Freguesia do Ó and Brasilândia, in the northern part of the city, Wellington has been active in the hip-hop cultural scene of Marabá (PA) for about a year. His life, he says, has literally been saved by hip hop. He works with different art languages, lending them a smoky, “dirty” and uncut pattern. He still has close ties with his region of origin, and continues to work in socio-cultural projects such as “Favela da Paz” and “Entre Becos e Vielas”.

In his panel “Untitled” shown here, he explores the motif of migration, merging the forest with the outskirts of a large city and incorporating into it an exotic monkey with indigenous elements. In all his panels, including in the one shown here, his signature is always an eye-shaped figure with wings and a boring look.
