Born in Açailândia, Maranhão, Wagner is a self-taught artist who works as a draughtsman and tattoo artist. He has achieved a certain prestige with his realistic portraits of celebrities from the cinema, TV, music and football world.

His panel Onça Pintada (Dotted Jaguar) shown here, made in mixed technique on MDF, depicts the largest and most enigmatic Brazilian feline, which is one of the most recurrent motifs in his works.
