João Costa lives in Alto Alegre do Pindaré (MA) and has been an artist for over 15 years. His artistic production focus mainly on canvases that reproduce natural landscapes and realistic drawings. He understands painting as a talent that needs to be developed with patience and mastery. He is very happy when he can interact and exchange knowledge with other artists who work with different techniques and interact with the city through their art.
The panel “My Way of Fishing” was his first mural work of larger proportions produced outdoors. The artist wanted to portray a daily scene from his region and painted on it an important and common character in the region he lives, namely an angler who is shown in integration with nature and practicing artisanal fishing. He used a color palette in order to highlight the diversity of tones that exist in harmony in nature.
